The Woodbine team is excitedly preparing for opening day tomorrow, Saturday April 26th and would like to advise you of a few updates pertaining to live racing.

New this year, we have an emergency alert system located on the inside rail of the main track. Should a race need to be declared “no contest”, the system will be activated by the AGCO Stewards.  You will see lights located at key points on the rail around the track and hear sirens. The siren on the grandstand roof will also be activated.  All riders will pull up as quickly as possible.

We understand that things can happen, and trainers may not be able to saddle their own horses.  Please be reminded thatyou must advise the AGCO Stewards if someone else is saddling for you and they will advise the Paddock Judge.

If you have any questions for the race office, please be reminded that the racing team is now available in the backstretch, in their original office.

Our new phone system allows you to contact key areas by calling one number with no prompts.  Please take note of the following numbers:

Jockey’s Room: (437)880-8524

Paddock Judge: (437)828-4033

AGCO Stewards: AM (437)880-9730, PM (437)880-9651

Stall Office: (437)880-9722

East Gate Security: (437)880-9666
