Two-year-old filly Border Czar surged to an impressive victory in the $125,000 My Dear Stakes on Saturday at Woodbine. Trained and owned by Barb Minshall, the daughter of Beau Liam settled off the early speed under jockey Rafael Hernandez before powering past rivals in the stretch to win by 2 ¾ lengths, stopping the clock in 1:05.77 for 5 ½ furlongs.

Border Czar remains unbeaten in two career starts, showing tremendous promise for the Minshall team. Abdul finished second, with Pageant Queen third.

The HBPA congratulates owner and trainer Barb Minshall and jockey Rafael Hernandez on this exciting stakes win!
