Two-year-old colt Casson powered to victory in the $125,000 Victoria Stakes on Saturday at Woodbine, leading a remarkable 1-2-3 finish for trainer Mark Casse. Despite a slow break, Casson surged to the front under jockey Rafael Hernandez, winning by 2 ½ lengths in a sharp 1:04.31 for 5 ½ furlongs.

Stablemates Jupiter and Rude Procedure completed the Casse trifecta, underscoring the barn’s strong juvenile lineup. Owned by Manfred and Penny Conrad, Casson remains undefeated in two starts and looks to be an exciting prospect for the season ahead.

The HBPA congratulates owners Manfred and Penny Conrad, trainer Mark Casse, and jockey Rafael Hernandez on this impressive stakes sweep!
