HBPA UPDATE

SHEDROW OF THE MONTH RETURNS TO WOODBINE AND FORT ERIE

The HBPA, along with Woodbine Entertainment and Fort Erie Racetrack, are

pleased to announce the return of the Shedrow of the Month program at both

Woodbine Racetrack and Fort Erie Racetrack.

The initiative recognizes trainers and stable teams who take pride in maintaining

and presenting their barn shedrows, both inside and out.

Beginning in June and continuing through October, one outfit at each track will be

selected monthly as Shedrow of the Month. Winning trainers will receive a cash

prize, breakfast or lunch for their employees, and a sign to display throughout the

month recognizing their achievement.

Trainers at Woodbine are reminded that lawn mowers, weed whackers, paint, and

other maintenance supplies are available to borrow from the Woodbine

Maintenance Garage.

June’s winners will be announced next week.

HPBA PRESENTS: MONTHLY TACK SHOP DRAW FOR TRAINERS

The board of the HBPA has once again approved the monthly draw, running from

June through October. Each month, two trainers will be selected to receive a

$500.00 gift card to the tack shop of their choosing.

VICTORY LOUNGE AT WOODBINE

Members are reminded that the Victory Lounge is available for winning

connections following their horse’s victory.

Winning owners, trainers, and their guests — to a maximum of eight people — are

invited to enter the lounge to watch the replay of the race their horse just won.

Access to the room will be available for 15 minutes before preparation begins for

the next race’s winners.

Members are reminded to be respectful and considerate toward fellow members,

guests, Woodbine Entertainment staff, and any third parties. Members will be held

accountable for the behaviour of their guests.

The Victory Lounge is located on the track apron beside the photographer’s office.

HBPA/MARK’S DISCOUNT WEEK

Last year, the HBPA partnered with Mark's (formerly Mark’s Work Warehouse) to

provide our hardworking and dedicated backstretch workers and their families

with a 10% discount card for in-store purchases.

To welcome everyone back, Mark’s will be hosting a special event from Sunday,

June 21 through Saturday, June 27, offering HBPA members 25% off in-store

purchases. Leading up to the event, the HBPA will also be holding a draw for a

chance to win gift cards to use during the promotion.
