EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a program funded by the HBPA that provides members,

their workers and family members with direct access to experienced professional support to help

resolve concerns before they affect workers health, family life or job performance.

Any discussions members have with an EAP representative, in person or over the phone, are strictly

confidential.

Angini, the FSEAP designated representative, will be back at Woodbine every other week for the

racing season. She will be touring the barns for everyone to get reacquainted with her and will be

set up at the Back on Track offices for those who would like some one-on-one time. Please keep

checking our website for updates on Angini’s first visit to the backstretch.

PONIES 24/7 & DOWN THE STRETCH PODCAST

The Board of the HBPA has approved continued sponsorship of Ponies 24/7 radio show and the

Down the Stretch Podcast for the 2024 season.

You can listen to Ponies 24/7 every Saturday from 8:00am to 9:00am on 105.9 The Region. Down

the Stretch podcast is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Play Music, Stitcher and more.

TRAINER CHARTS

Trainers can now pick up their complimentary Trainer Chart, available at the Woodbine HBPA

backstretch office. Fort Erie trainers can pick theirs up from our backstretch office in May.

TRAINER AND ASSISTANT TRAINING TESTING

For those interested in taking the Trainer or Assistant Trainer test this year, here are the application

due dates and test dates for the 2026 season. We ask every applicant to please read over the criteria

as there have been some significant changes to eligibility. Applications are available at both
