In a stunning upset at Woodbine Racetrack, longshot Ms. Tart surged from the back of the pack to claim victory in the Grade 3 Royal North Stakes on May 31, 2025. Sent off at staggering 70-1 odds, the four-year-old filly unleashed a powerful late charge under jockey Huber Villa-Gomez, overtaking the field in the final stretch to win by half a length. This marked the first graded stakes triumph for both Ms. Tart and trainer Kevin Rice, who expressed elation over the unexpected win. Owned by Nathan McCauley and bred in Kentucky by Sovereign Farm, LLC, Ms. Tart paid $143.30 for the win.
