We invited Lucy and Tony, Toronto-based influencers, to spend the day at Woodbine Racetrack and experience what it’s really like to be a Thoroughbred racehorse owner in Ontario — from the paddock to the winner’s circle.

🎥 Watch the full video of their ownership journey and feel the thrill of race day through their eyes. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be part of the action, this is your chance to see it up close.

Here’s what Lucy had to say about her day as a first-time racehorse owner:

How did it feel to be a racehorse owner for the first time?

I felt so much excitement — and honestly, a bit of anxiety — as a horse owner!

Describe the feeling as your horse turned for home.

As the horse started to come closer to the finish line, I felt a cold sweat and my heart started pounding. I had to get out of my seat from all the excitement and anticipation.

Have you ever experienced this kind of thrill before?

Never. The thrill of watching my horse close in on the wire was a feeling I’d never had before.

After your day at the track, would you consider becoming an owner?

Definitely. After this experience, I would 100% consider becoming a horse owner.

What would you tell someone who’s thinking about getting involved in racehorse ownership?

I’d tell them that while it’s hard work and takes dedication, the reward of seeing your horse win — after all that training and care — is the ultimate satisfaction.
